Veuve Bonneval Champagne

Since the 17th century, the Bonneval family owned a vineyard in Charly sur Marne, in the West of Champagne area. During the 1950s, Claude Bonneval, the owner of the vineyard met Elise at the local dance hall.

Together they decided to move forward together on two main projects. The first one was their marriage and the second one was the creation of their own House of Champagne. When they created it, they decided to call it Veuve Bonneval in honor of Claude’s mother, Felicie, who always wanted to build his own Champagne house, but she never could, as her husband never came back from the First World War. As Felicie was a widow, they named their Champagne house Veuve Bonneval.
